The Certification Program includes three levels of Kodály Music
Education. Each level includes Methodology, Solfege, Folk Song
Research, Choral Ensemble and Choral Conducting. These five
components interact, overlap, and enhance one another and are
fashioned to fit together to form a complete picture.
A former student of Jenö Adám, Katinka Scipiades Daniel developed,
adapted, and refined the curriculum for American children over a
period of fourteen years at San Roque School in Santa Barbara.
Jenö Adám, who actually developed The Kodály Concept,
and later Zoltán Kodály, both visited San Roque School in the
early 1960’s and gave their personal approval to her American
curriculum.
